2027 Wedding Colour Trends: 6 Palettes to Make Your Own

2027 Wedding Colour Trends: 6 Palettes to Make Your Own

A green satin bag. A cake covered in raspberries. An orange glow across a dinner table.

There are plenty of ways to give a wedding a point of view. Our wedding colour trends for 2027 on Instagram start with six: amber orange, berry red, verdant green, sunset hues, orchid and petal pink.

Each board takes its colour somewhere different. Into the lighting. Around the cake. Across an entire reception setting. Pick the one that catches you, then find the detail you would love to make your own.

Amber orange: add a little mauve

There is a good little surprise in our amber board: mauve napkins beside orange-edged plates. The muted purple gives all that warmth a softer neighbour.

Striped chairs add another layer of pattern. The sculptural bouquet and piped orange cake show how far you can take the colour when you love it enough.

For a smaller start, try amber glassware with a mauve napkin. Set both beside your plate and linen samples. You will quickly see which piece deserves more space on the table.

Berry red: let one thing be glorious

The raspberry-covered cake makes a very good case for committing to red. So does the tall floral installation. Each gives the colour a whole shape to occupy.

That is a useful place to start your own plan. Would you rather have one generous red arrangement, a berry-coloured cake or a deep red bouquet? Choose the thing you most want people to notice.

Cream can give it a quiet backdrop. If you want another colour in the mix, try powder blue in the stationery or napkins. Keep a piece of the exact red beside it while you decide.

Verdant green: carry it with you

Look at the satin bag. The green fabric, gathered shape and jewelled handles make colour feel like part of getting dressed.

A bag, a pair of shoes or a bouquet ribbon could bring that idea into your bridal look. Hold the shade beside your gown before you commit. An olive green and a fresh grassy green can take the same dress in quite different directions.

For the room, the board's draped green table gives you a bigger version of the idea. White flowers and clear glass offer simple companions. The cake decorated with green pods and vines adds a wonderfully unexpected texture.

Sunset hues: colour the light

An orange orb on the table. A circle of warm light against a wall. This board starts with the glow you might otherwise spend the evening waiting for.

Include lighting when you explore wedding colour trends. A wash across a wall can become a large part of the room's colour. A small table lamp can make the setting feel more intimate.

Bring the reference to your venue or lighting team. Ask to see the effect with your actual linen and flowers, under the room's evening lighting. An orange light on white fabric will give you a different result from an orange napkin in daylight.

Orchid: play with the shape

The orchid board moves between pale lilac and deeper purple. It also moves between forms: a long loop of flowers, rounded arrangements and individual stems rising above a dessert table.

That variety gives the palette much of its interest. You could explore the same idea through a low arrangement at dinner and a taller piece elsewhere in the room.

Bring your florist the shape you love as well as the colour. A photograph of that long loop says something quite different from a square labelled “purple.”

Petal pink: choose your scale

Pink can arrive in a drink. It can also become the entire reception setting.

The oval pink setting in our board is the bigger dream. The tulips in feather-trimmed vases offer a detail you could bring to a much smaller table. Both have a sense of play.

Decide which version feels like you. Perhaps it is one pink cocktail beside a cream menu. Perhaps it is pink linen running the length of dinner. For a deeper accent, try chocolate-brown lettering or ribbon alongside the pink sample.

Make these wedding colour trends your own

Start with three things:

  • A photograph of your venue, with the floors and walls visible.
  • A sample of your favourite colour in fabric, ribbon or paper.
  • One supporting detail, such as a flower or a piece of stationery.

Put them together in daylight, then look again under lighting similar to your reception. Adjust the piece that feels out of place.

Bring the palette to your bridal appointment at Savoir in Toronto, too. Seeing it beside the gowns can help you decide which bouquet, ribbon or accessory belongs with your dress.

Which shade would define your day?
